Ministry

While the United States differs, many governments around the world use the word “ministry” to refer to various bureaus and departments that handle various tasks. A famous fictional example is the “Ministry of Magic” in the Harry Potter books. Each of these organizations serves a purpose to the government that sets it up. That role: service, is what ministry is about.

Community

Church is a community for anyone who’s become weary and discouraged, to give our authentic selves to something bigger, and to help everybody deepen their faith. If you want to meet us, you’re welcome.

Values

When guests visit a house, they often compliment the decoration, or talk about how clean a place is. They don’t focus on how strong the floor is, or that the wiring is up to code. As dumb as it sounds to compliment a home owner on their choice of floor joists, the structure is still important. You wouldn’t have a clean house with good decorations if the studs supporting the walls weren’t solidly built.

Awe

Acts reminds us that the early church was in awe. It brought them together as believers, motivated their worship and praise to God, and made them take action to help the community around them.

Worship

We have a few basic ideas to follow: praise, growth, and mission. There’s a place for you in our church family, whether you want to be involved in praise and worship, or learning and spiritual growth, or outreach and missions in the community.

A Welcoming Family

Anyone who has dated or married a person has met their significant other’s family. Sometimes they have seen simple differences, like the way people in different states have different accents or different traditions. But there’s always something new to learn from meeting a new family.

Back to School – Salt and Light

Kids are excited to head back to school as fall begins. In the fall, we all look forward to reestablishing familiar routines. We’re especially prayerful for each student’s experience, and how they interact. We’re also praying for teachers and communities, superintendents, aides, and everyone involved in education.

Stories – Love

As believers in Christ, our story isn’t supposed to be bland, apolitical, and never get people’s attention–but it is supposed to show love in a way that makes our faith appeal to others. It’s also supposed to promote healthy fellowship, and relationships that go beyond just “hitting the like button,” or commenting on somebody’s latest post. Come join us as we chase after perfect love, and learn how to show it to the world.

Stories – Hope

Everything that happens should remind you to keep your perspective. Don’t believe that everything is hopeless when you go through hard times. Paul is convinced that “absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love,” so don’t give up.

Stories – Faith

People of faith in the Bible have accomplished many great deeds, from Moses and Abraham, to Peter and Paul. Their faith motivates our belief when we read the beginning of Hebrews 12. Remember, there is a “cloud of witnesses” around us, like the cheering crowd in a stadium. They’re there to encourage you as you walk with God, give your life to Him, and put your belief into action.
