The Parable of the Soils tells us about a man who plants seeds in four different types of soil. The conditions of the soil and things that happen to the seeds affect how the plants grow. The best soil produces the best harvest.
A lot of times, we think of this parable about the other people who hear God’s word. But the parable still applies to us.
When we take time to examine our lives, we should think about the kind of soil our hearts provide for God’s word. Can we improve our hearts and our lives to produce a better harvest for God?
