This is chapter two of our love series. We look at some of the crazy things people have done in the name of love in the past. Last week focused on the feeling of passion behind our drive for love, sex, and relationships. This week we peel back another layer to see that what’s really at the heart of our passion is the desire for intimacy. This message speaks to all of us whether we are in a relationship or not. The idiom in Hebrew for having sex was “to know” the other person. This is at the heart of romance – intimacy. And that relationship is simply a reflection of our desire for intimacy with Christ. Paul uses the same language of Christ in the New Testament – “I want to know Christ.”
