Steeple and Roof Damage

Friday, May 8th, 2026:

Thankfully, the initial estimate of $70,000 for the repairs has been partly covered by insurance that did not depreciate. The result is that the initial estimate has been revised downward from $70,000 to $30,000 instead. That’s reducing the amount we need to pay up front, but it still is more than the cash we currently have on hand. We are grateful for this new development and for your ongoing prayer and support.

On March 13th 2026, the high winds in Delaware County delivered a major setback as our steeple was blown down. The Alum Creek Church is grateful that nobody was hurt by the falling debris. Unfortunately, the damage was more extensive than it appeared at first, so the roof on our building will need to be replaced. It looks like costs could be $70,000. As we navigate the various stages of getting that work done, we’re asking for extra financial support. Please consider making a donation to help us out. We appreciate any gift you’re able to give, and we’re thankful to God for all the help we receive!
